I've ridden the White Pine trail innumerable times. My average rides on here are 28 miles.

Michigan's longest rail to trail State Park approximately 92 miles depending on where you start. Partially paved, partially hard pack gravel. I've only gone about 35 miles round trip on it. I hope to get to Cadillac or down from Cadillac on and along it this summer.

Here are some photos and at the bottom, a link to other sites about it. I have a lot of pictures of this. Some I take while riding.

End of the pavement June 2005. Russel Road. From my house to this point is just over 18 miles.

Russel Road Staging area sign. This has a large gravel parking lot to get yourself going north on hard pack or south on paved trail.

South view. A full service gas station is just south of here. The white building near the middle of this pic.

The southern most beginning of the trail. At US131 and North Park. There is NOT a staging area here.

Going north a short distance you go between the Grand River and West Michigan Whitecaps Midwest League Baseball Stadium

North of Comstock Park, south of Belmont.

Nearing Belmont, this overpass is Post Road.

Rogue River Park. Belmont Road. This is actually the southern most staging area for the trail. There is an information kiosk here, restrooms (open most of the timeduring daylight hours and summertime.) a water fountain. There is also the Belmont Grocery a small convenience store and behind them is a small ice cream shop to cool you off.
